Cookie Policy
A plain-language explanation of the cookies ICTDesk uses and how you can control them.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to the site owner about how visitors use the site.
ICTDesk uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) in our web application at service.ictdesk.net and on our marketing website at ictdesk.net. This policy explains what we use, why we use it, and how you can manage your preferences.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the ICTDesk platform to function. Without them, core features like logging in, maintaining your session, and navigating the dashboard would not work. These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking the Service.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
ictdesk_session | Maintains your authenticated login session | Session (cleared when browser closes) |
XSRF-TOKEN | Protects against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks | Session |
tenant_id | Identifies which tenant workspace you are logged into | Session |
remember_token | Keeps you logged in when you choose “Remember me” | 30 days |
Analytics Cookies
We use lightweight analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our website and application. This helps us identify which features are popular, detect usability issues, and improve the platform over time. All analytics data we collect is anonymized — it cannot be used to identify individual users and is never shared with advertising networks.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ict_analytics | Tracks anonymized page views and feature usage within the application | 90 days |
_ict_session_id | Groups events from the same visit for funnel analysis (no PII stored) | Session |
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party analytics service that profiles individual users or shares data with advertisers.
Preference Cookies
These cookies remember your choices and settings so you do not have to re-configure them on every visit. They improve your experience but are not essential for the platform to function.
| Cookie / Storage Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
ict_theme | Stores your light/dark mode preference | 1 year |
ict_language | Stores your interface language selection | 1 year |
ict_sidebar_state | Remembers whether the sidebar is expanded or collapsed | 1 year |
ict_notifications | Stores your notification preferences (sound, desktop alerts) | 1 year |
3. Third-Party Cookies
ICTDesk does not use cookies from advertising networks. We do not work with ad retargeting platforms, social media trackers, or data brokers.
The only third-party cookies you may encounter are from Stripe, and only on payment-related pages (subscription checkout and billing management). Stripe uses cookies to prevent fraud, detect unusual payment activity, and maintain payment session state. These cookies are governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
